Inference:
The extension of the spring depends on the load force.
Hypothesis: ____________
Aim of the experiment:
i. To _________ the relationship between the __________ and the ____________ of spring as well as
to verify Hooke's Law for simple spring.
ii. To determine the diameter of wire.
Variables:
Manipulated: _____________________
Responding: ______________________
Constant: ______________________
Apparatus/Materials:
__________, ___________, mass hanger, ____________, pin, 50 g slotted weight.
Procedure :
1. The equipment was set up as shown in Figure 1.
2. The initial position of the indicator pin was measured and recorded.
3. Mass of 50 g was added to the mass hanger and the added mass, m was recorded.
4. The new position of the pin was measured and hence the extension, x of spring was recorded.
5. The experiment was repeated with mass ( 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25 and 0.30 ) kg and the
corresponding extension was recorded each time.
6. All results were recorded in a table.
Results :
Initial length of spring, lo = ___________ cm
Discussion:
Conclusion:
The _________ of the spring is ____________________ to the _________ acting on it and obey the Hooke's law if provided elastic limit is not exceeded.
Precaution :
1. The length of the spring is checked to determine whether the spring is able to return to its original
length so that it does not exceed the elastic limit.
2. Eye must be perpendicular to the metre ruler to avoid parallax error.
can u give the answer...please!!! :D :D :D /\__/\
